What the building looked like up to February 25, 2008

The building at present can only facilitate groups of a maximum of 20 people.  With an expansion and renovations, the building will be able to be used year round:
  • For groups of 30-50 people
  • For rentals year round which can be completely self contained within the building (meeting area, eating area, sleeping area & washroom facilities)
  • The meeting area will also facilitate summer programming, adding extra meeting space for different activities and/or space for inclement weather activities.
  • It also provides the option of renting the camp to more than one group at a time because of the facilities that are available.
Addition would provide:
  • Sleeping area for approximately 30-50 people
  • Extra toilets and showers
  • Meeting & eating space on main floor for 30-50 people
The building would be usable 12 months of the year as it is already winterized, with gas and water hooked up.

February 2008
  • Begin with construction as the weather holds
  •  Get the outer walls up and a roof on so that the site is closed to the weather
March 2008
  • Begin renovations on the second floor interior of the building

Summer 2008
  • put down subfloor
  • frame in upstairs
  • run plumbing and electric
  • hang drywall

Fall 2008
  • build entrance
  • install front entrance windows and main front         windows

Spring & Summer 2009
remove flooring on main floor and fill in crawl space
pour first layer of cement

Fall 2009
install new windows on main floor
plaster a portion of the interior walls
frame and drywall remaining interior walls and ceilings

Winter 2009
pour layer of cement on main floor
lay tile on main floor

Fall  & Winter 2010/2011
complete preparing drywall throughout and painting on both floors
begin installing bathrooms in upstairs

install kitchen on main floor
install permanent light fixtures throughout
