That was what happened from June 20 through July 20 here for us and our team. Of course, that is only part of the story. The rest of the story would include anecdotes from the 64 kids, 78 junior high, and 98 senior high/college age campers who attended the three camps. It would also include stories and tales from the 60 plus campers who accepted Christ at camp this summer.
This year John had the opportunity to test his sports skills, as he was sports director. Thanks to the help of a great team of workers and staff, the program went well. God blessed us with some very creative and very active people who could take an idea and breath life into it, giving the whole camp program the extra “flavor” needed to make it really good. Music, drama, teaching times, small groups in the cabins etc all had quality people involved.
We praise the Lord for the opportunity to be involved in this very effective and vital ministry. Camp is a tremendous way to spend time with kids and to build relationships with families, giving opportunities to share the message of Christ and His love.
