Water. Camp. River. What do these 3 words have in common? All are related to our spring flooding this year. The river that flows past the camp also flows through the city of Sumy near our place. The water rose between 2 & 3 meters (6 to 10 feet), flooding a variety of roads and fields.

I had to travel into Kiev at the end of July, so off I went one evening to the train station. I climbed on board and began to make my way to my seat.
