Hello Everyone,

In 2003, God opened a window of opportunity for the purchase of the property now known as Grace Camp near Sumy, Ukraine.  A Soviet Pioneer Youth Camp owned by a local factory, it had not been in regular use since the break up of the former Soviet Union in the early 1990's. 

Each summer, the camp is busy with children's camps, jr high & sr high camps, and various conferences. More than 300 children & youth come to camp each summer.  As the various buildings and facilities are renovated and upgraded, the camp is able to offer more opportunities for ministry and for rental by other ministries.  Over 5 million people live within a 200 mile radius of the camp and Christian owned camp ministry facilities are few and far between. 

Since its purchase, the camp has been under a continuous process of renovation and restoration.  Through the hard work of members of the local churches, missionaries and short term teams from the west the camp is beginning to live up to its potential.  We praise the Lord for all that has been accomplished, and are so thankful for everyone who has been involved in numerous ways. 

At present, we have another window of opportunity to take the camp into its next stage of ministry and development. There are two capital renovation        projects which you can be involved in:

Raise the Roof: adding a second floor to an existing building (see right)
  • add heated sleeping arrangements to accommodate up to 40 people
  • Meeting and dining facilities to accommodate up to 60 people

Camp Showers Building:
  • formerly housed both showers and laundry facilities for the camp
  • New roof, plumbing and other upgrades
Building will become multifunctional, including meeting area and games room

We are seeking to raise $ 50,000  by April 30, 2009 for the camp renovation fund. Would you join in the building of Lord's ministry at Grace Camp?  Here in Ukraine, as everywhere, the crisis has hit hard.  Construction materials continue to rise in price, which means it is all the more prudent to do that which we can as quickly as possible.
